Women Empowerment
Care and support for disadvantaged Women: Pragathi Seva Samithi operates the SWADHAR home at Hanamkonda with an objective of providing rehabilitation services and shelter home to women in distress conditions. The team at Swadhar home is actively engaged in creating and maintaining proper linkages with concerned departments to link various government welfare schemes for the distressed women. Also, skill building trainings were organized for the women to secure their livelihoods once they leave the home. A total of 1397 women were provided care and support at shelter home and rehabilitation.
Dairy Development: PSS implemented dairy development program under STEP program with 1000 dairy farmers in 10 villages covering 3 mandals of Warangal district. The women dairy farmers are organized into village level dairy societies and established milk collection centers and created marketing linkage for sale of milk. Organized trainings on dairy management, exposure visit to dairy companies and village level animal health camps.
